    Need Trailer Support

I noticed that my front bow roller is starting to rub the gel on my Euro. What is out there to stop this in terms of roller material or a better design. I will be limited in the design as everything is welded to the trailer. The way its designed currently the center roller doesn't touch the hull, only the 2 outside cheeks.

Wonder if going to a simple rubber roller with no "cheeks" would work?

    Or a bow stop bumper?

    .

    ^^^^agreed

also, if you can design the bow-stop in such a way that you would increase the surface area touching the fiberglass would be better as opposed to just the ears rubbing and scratching the fiberglass

this pic maximizes the surface area holding the bow of the boat

I had similar issues to you and have similar "non-marring" rollers above and below the bow D-ring. ("Non-marring" is apparently a relative term.) I ended up wrapping microfiber towels around the rollers to pad the area better. The microfiber towels are held in place with carefully placed zip-ties. Problem solved.

KeelGuard makes a thin stainless plate(peel & stick) to protect the gelcoat around the bow eye. Got one on my Carlson and works slick. One could be made out of plastic, aluminum etc very simply. Gary
