    New Traxxas DCB RC Boat

I thought this was interesting - anybody see this yet? A licensed DCB hull by Traxxas. The graphics on the boat are cool but all of those colors look somewhat 1990s-ish. Still looks really cool.

    New Traxxas DCB RC Boat

    Greg
I came across them on eBay. They range in price on there from $449 to 599 for the complete kit including controller, batteries and such ready to run. If we weren't going to have a postal strike in Canada, I would have probably ordered one. They would look even better with twin 400ROSs on the back but that's another story. If anyone has one, I would be interested in knowing how it works.
    Thanks
    Gary

Thank you Gary - I'm intrigued by it. I'll contact Traxxas about sending one for review. I'm sure a lot of people here would be interested in having a closer look at one. They really do look cool.

Wow, that Outer Limits boat is pretty cool as well. Twin engines to boot.

Those photos look like they were taken at Hobbico facility in IL. I know a lot of those guys. I will point them to this thread. Back in the day I spent a decent amount of time up there with one of my partners in the battery business I sold in 2007 with Don Anderson who was CEO at the time, may still be. Bunch of great guys up there. They are the #1 Hobby distributor/manufacturer in the world and the setup they have there is amazing. I can't go into details (Confidentiality agreement signed that is in effect until I die) but it was really cool. You guys that fly planes, they cut the kits and print the plans there. The covering comes in HUGE rolls and they cut monokote right there into the rolls you buy. The place is phenomenal and very automated. Way cool. Brings back a lot of memories. You guys should get some photos together of what DCB's that are famous look like and I would bet that I can get the pics to someone who can make the models look a lot more authentic. I wonder what DCB thinks of the overdone look?

I did a Google search last night to find the Outerlimits boat but did not find it for sale on line. I would like to check it out as well. Has anyone got any more info on it?
    Thanks

If you guys PM me with some links to some good pics or post them in this thread I will send them to the manager of new product development at Hobbico. I know him pretty well and have stayed at his house a few times when we were up there on business and he is cool.
