    1990 Checkmate Pulse 211 E-Tec 250HO. Need a new prop

I just hung a 2015 250 HO on my Checkmate. I'm barely touching 70mph. Ran my old prop a Ron hill 26 semi-cleaver 4 blade 6100 rpm 68mph. Changed to the all around ski prop (planes off like butter, usually less top end) 23 mercury revolution stamped 23 pitch. Hit 69-70 @ 5800. This motor was on a 21 hand built challenger did 79mph. My boat is lighter so I know I can get more out of it. I've had the boat since new and have never gone much over 70. I have aCMC jack plate I haven't had too much calm water to test heights as I went out on Sunday afternoon. I get good bow lift but the transom is still pretty low in the water, so I'm sure a prop that will lift the transom is going to pick up the top end. There is no hook in the transom, I had it removed 20 years ago. It is a 20 degree vee unlike most Checmates with 18. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Slip numbers
    Rev 4 is 5%
    Hill is 20%

Without measuring the actual pitch of each prop we have to assume the pitch is close to actual.

Most guys I know that run checkmates like yours have the best results with the Bravo 1.
With the data you've provided I'd start with a Bravo 1 25 or 26 pitch. Be sure to adjust motor height to optimize each prop you test before moving on to another.

I have a 250 pro xs on a Starliner, I heard good things about the Bravo XS. I have run a 24 and a 25p fury on my my boat so far. I have 4 inches of setback but with rough water and kids always with me I will post up some numbers in September when the kids are back in school and the Bennys go home and no longer run there 38 foot Sea Rays in every which direction turning the bay into rapids.

I have the pulse 210 bowrider. 10" of setback. 225efi. I can run it in the mid 60s all day. I like the 3 blades tbe best so far, have run the tempest plus most. 23...25...27, 25 and 27 can push it to 70mph, 71 tops.
I have tried the trophy props without very good results. the setback gave me a couple mph but definitely allowed me to raise the motor...i think about 1" above the pad (small pad)
I have run the raker on prior checkmates and it was always the fastest, didnt always handle the best but I like the raker.
I have props for a merc, not sure if you can use them or not. let me know if i can help you out.
