    2.4 one peice adapter

Tried searching this and couldn't exactly find what I'm looking for but I'm sure it's been brought up 1000 times. Putting a 2.4 on a 15" mid what adapter plate options work for one peice? 2.5 Bridgeport and tuner? Can you run a 2.4 on a 260/280 style one peice plate and tuner? Seems like I remeber something about you can run a 2.4 on a 2.5 plate but not a 2.5 on a 2.4 plate? Thanks!!

Only thing to watch is if running a 260/280 on a BP plate, the top side needs to be opened to match the larger port of the 260/80.The BP plate works well with any 2.4/2.5 if set up properly.

Use drag washers, tee two therm housings together one hose out back. Run poppet dump out back make small fitting to reduce poppet dump flow.

I think you can run a 2.5 on a 2.4 plate if you port the exhaust dump?? 2.5 has bigger exhaust

firstly a bport is a 2.4 ( typo ?)is your 2.4 powerhead just a chrome bore 200 ? You can't use a 260 adapter w/out epoxy or welding the big water dump holes shut and redrilling them to bridgeport size. You need the water to stay in the block as long as possible to maintain 143* f block temp for a cast iron sleeved bore,a chrome bore run better on a 1 pc. 2.4 or modified 2.5 plate. I would T the 2 t stat openings and dump them on the port side, toss the poppit away and install a bridgeport cover and tune the water flow/temp that way. Of course washers instead of t stats. A 2.4 chrome bore 200 had the same chrome as early mod vp and bridgeport. Nicasil is the later style bores that need the hi flow water .i run my 2.5 cast iron bore motors like promax /200efi on a ridgeback, but with a 2 pc. Tuner. If it were mine i would just drill the back 3 hole in the 2 pc. adapter plate a tad bigger to accomodate the bigger studs in the ridgeback mid. Easy mod with a drill and you have to buy 3 longer stainless studs/with thin brass nuts. With that setup i get 10 psi at idle and 20+ at speed with a 2.5 200 and coned 4 hole cle, bobs style water hose on side, best setup imo,for anything w/out nicasil bores.

Regulalar 2.4 200 fishing motor chrome bore is what is legal to use in dsra/obda super stock class.

I habe 90% of what I need I think to make that class combo. Need a one peice plate and tuner.

I I have a 15" promax now but am running 2 piece plate on it.

I need to put the 2.4 on the 15" mid and swap over my 16amp electronics and change carbs and I think that's all I'll need to do.

Just trying to figure out which one peice plate is best to run in superstock with a 2.4.

or you can toss all the poppit crap in the garbage,,bridgeports only used the block cover and dump hole,no guts, and bridgeports used the 1 pc. adapter plate and tuner, designed for them. the 2.5 plate cascades too much water for any 2.4 or 2.5 fishin motor, that's why pro max have their own 2 pc adapter and tuner. promax run like crap on a 260 1 pc. plate and a ridgeback,so will a 2.4 200,w/out alot of mods to the plate,it's easier to start with a 2.4 plate if you wanna' to go that way.

those rear bolts, get removed, and i wallow out the 3 holes in the top plate to fit 3 studs to bolt into the ridgeback mid., those bolts are a size too small to thread into the mid., you need 3 stainless studs same length as bolts and 3 thin brass nuts to snug the rear of the plate to the mid.,that setup is running a 200 efi, smartcraft motor, with no overheat or WP issues,10 psi at idle, and 20+ in flight.I fish tournaments with that boat,so I can only run the 200,if I wanted my bridgeport or 260 on that mid,I can just pop a 1 pc. plate on it,and use the starboard pee hole for the block side dump.

the 1 pc. plate / tuner weigh 16 lbs., the 2 pc. is prolly 1 /2 that,so you save 6-8 b. off the hop.
