Vegas V8 Race Day project update.

Sorry don't have a Video this time , must have bumped camera. I did run a new prop this race. The new prop felt good lifted a lot better and I thought hole shot was better, 26p merc G2 chopper, But after looking at the GPS and speed curves the 26p Drag still better so far, Drag didn't carry the boat as good. Now I'm talking about feeling behind the wheel. On the GPS the Drag was 4 to 5 mph faster. But I might need to make some changes to my setup. I have two weeks before the next race and one week off work so I need to get it right. Would like to shout out to Bob Lipton @ Performance Propellers for the some bad a** props. Almost forgot ! I brought home the checker flag one more time. Last run had to take a tiebreaker and I did, when I crossed the line the motor died it popped back off, but sounded funny made it back. One carb was flooding bad choking out two more, But she made it home....... It was a great day !!

CUDA yes I do, but not to much more. I don't think it needs to run to high just dry. I think it will lift more when I get the speed up and foot out of the water. The motor is still to low. I have not been trimming to much one or two bumps only. Have been presetting on start. That's why I have been looking at so many pics. I'm installing a manual trim gauge next week so i have a ideal from pic, video and gauge. Its a lot for me in 800' So taking my time to get it right. I have lost quit a few races but getting better the more time I have under my belt. An it is so much fun. Thanks for all the input it means a lot..

Yes they do. I have a manual one on it, I'm going to move motor up and drop jacket plate, its maxed already. That is with my 15" mid. I need to come up about 3 to 4" more . I would like to set and leave it in one place. Then i will fine tune it after I move the motor. Hoping that it will take me from 75/80 to 95+ with the right prop in 800' . With my cleaver 32 4-blade on GPS it ran over 100 mph. But I'm working on 800' I want it quick & Fast !! I hope LOL. It already has tons of power and it feels good .

Not sure what is done to the engine but a 26 for 800 feet is a lot of prop.

Depends on the torque and availible rpm the motor will turn.

    I ran a 20p with 2.0 gears in 660' and 2.0/22p in 800'

I've also ran 1.87/24 and 26 in 800' with motors that won't turn as high.
