Paramount transoms with transducer pics

Could someone with a Paramount Post a pic of their transom mounted transducer. Just bought a Garmin 94sv with the Chirp side view and front view transom mount transducer. Going from a thru hull to transom mount and getting conflicting info on where to mount.

I have one on mine. I mounted it to the bottom of the boarding ladder. I did it like that cause its a beefy transducer and didnt want it to effect my speed, works perfect for what I use it for. Shows the bottom and dept when going slow, and you still have the gps speed and charts when going fast

Transducer should be on the port side. Had less effect on the prop when mounted on the port.

Mine was mounted where the red arrow shows. You want the center bottom of the transducer even with the bottom of the hull. The bottom the transducer should be skimming the water, not plowing through it.

I was excited to hear there's a jackplate mount but found out it only reads at slow speeds. I have a stainless swim platform and a jack plate. Just want to make sure I put in right place. Thanks for the pics. Bought the 94sv so that I can swap it between Paramount and my 21 Action relatively easy.

Would mounting it on the side of the drain plug area provide better reading at speed? Or is that only needed if you want to scan bottom structure at speed. I'm more interested in obtaining a accurate depth read out at plane.

On plane and on pad are very different things with that hull.

If you want readout above 45 mph your gonna need to mount it on the pad.

Not sure it's a good idea to be drilling holes in the core of that boat near the pad.

On the pad will disturb water to the prop.

You might be better off doing a "shoot through" installation". I had one on my Concept and it worked very well. Epoxy your ducer to the inside of the pad area. Works very well as long as your pad isnt cored. Had to be solid glass. I would remove any gel or paint and epoxy it down. Google it for better instructions.

This works well. Can't be core below it as stated. Can't be any air voids in the glass below it. Can't be any air bubbles in the epoxy that you bond it with. Trouble free/non-compromise location though. If there is core, remove the core with a hole-saw, sand with a air powered 90 degree die-grinder with a Roloc disc. Wet out a couple layers of fiberglass matt. Sand again. Gelcoat. Glue down hockey puck ducer(or thru-hull style). Preferably as far back on the hull as you can get. Only done it about a hundred times myself.

I'm thinking that I can put a sternsaver here and mount. Reason being so that I can adjust without redrilling transom. I ordered a 12 pin sounder to 12 pin and 8 pin transducer cable for my Garmin 94SV. Going to keep the in hull P79 Airmar and hook up the other 12 pin. This should get me the best of both worlds.
