Good looking Liberator - I think once they correct the error by the agent of stating 75hp max, I think we'll be ok. That just threw up all kinds of flags.

As long as we are on the subject of proper insurance, has anyone had success finding companies that will offer "Agreed Value" coverage? We have an Ultra 23 that we converted. Just took delivery on a 250HO for it. I'd like to switch carriers and go to someone who will write Stated Value on it.

The minute you accrue more than 2 points on your license the insurers all can see that and it totally changes both approval and pricing for boats.

Nationwide would not cover our cougar mtr 21 because it was a pickle fork. But they did go through a company called ace insurance and cost 250 for 12 months but I just have a 260

    Greg,

As I stated earlier I had a hell of a time with State Farm when I re powered to the 2011 OptiMax 150 on my 1971 Schuster Tahiti. After they looked at the boat and saw everything was new or had been upgraded (new Carpet, interior, wiring, gauges, hydraulic steering, Smart Craft Monitor, new stereo and speakers and I forget what else) they did finally agree to a Stated Value of $14,000 for the boat, motor and trailer.

It wasn't easy and I have no way to know what happens if I go to collect as I don't plan on having a loss.

nationwide and SF are absolutely terrible for boats

try travelers, boat us, geico, or progressive- same goes for you greg g with your agreed value or consider splitting insurance boat-motor-trailer

travelers is even replacing fuel tanks just not covering the tank itself and its zero deductible claim anyhow
