    Question for mercruiser technician......

Looking to speak with a Merc Technician that is knowledgeable of DTS / smart craft Rigging.
Application is an 8.1 HO DTS Smart craft
Power leads for the DTS is wired direct to the battery with a label on it stating "wire direct to starting battery" Can that be moved to a switchable power source?
I would like to hear all opinions but would like to hear from a tech that can tell me why it is direct on the battery.
    Thanks in advance
Email me if you can yachtin04@yahoo.com

That is your clean power for the DTS I have put them on the battery switch before to experiment and everything seemed fine. The reason they want it directly to the starting battery Is for the liability. Their system doesn't work properly without that clean uninterrupted 12 volts and they don't want to take the chance of a dirty contact inside the battery switch or a dirty connection on the back
