Old CMC pl-65 jack plate questions
My boat has an old cmc jack plate with the motor/reservoir mounted outside of the port rail of the jack plate. The motor is completely shot, all corroded and falling apart. I cant find anyone that carries a replacement so far, does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to make this into a manual adjusting jackplate? Thanks!

They are still available, I just bought one from a small electric motor repair shop here in Canada. He went through his catalog and found one. I will see if I can find my receipt and give the part number later on today.

You can go used and use a Merc i/o or a volvo i/o trim pump. If going new, then cheapest solution is to buy a Bob's Machine pump.

you can use power trim lines as well. I have the same thing with the Merc trim pump inside the boat, you will also find the plate cycles faster with this setup.

I used trim lines on mine . I agree that a hydraulic shop is a great choice though.

I picked up a used trim pump from a bravo outdrive. Are you guys using the merc solenoid set up or should I use the old solenoids/wiring from the jack plate? Any info on how to wire this thing up would be appreciated. The guy I got the pump from had no idea how it had been wired.... Thanks guys.
