Fuel at Treasure Camp in Fowlers Bluff and in Suwannee . Bring your own , a lot easier . Sturgeon are randomly jumping and can cause major damage to boats and people . No real way to be careful just stick to the sides of the river when possible . Sandbar south will be holding boats , just past Yellow Jacket campground .

From what I have seen and read about most reported collisions happen at regular cruising speeds . One friend hit one going close to 90 near Manatee Springs State Park . He said it popped up in front of the boat and he cranked the wheel hard and the fish hit the rub rail and passed down the side of the hull . These fish are basically armor plated with bony plates and are like hitting a concrete block .
