300 hpdi
are 300 hpdi any good for performance I have one good one that's an excellent shape and one with a bad cylinder I have all the riggin. I was thinking of installing them on a 30-foot Hall that I own please be kind to me I'm an old Mercury guy and no nothing about yamaha hpdi

Yea man, they are ok. The never put out anything close to 300 hp. in a stock form. Porting is setup for less than 6400 rpm. Compression in stock units is near 100 psi. Pipe is too long.

call Bender!!!! this is a must! i have a 2004 300 hpdi on a 21 superboat... im slow.... i run a 30 pitch prop. like the Bravo 1 4 blade.
but every machine is different... clean filters and good gas are a must....
