1978 Glastron Carlson cvx 16
Custom cvx 16 built by art Carlson in 1978, restored in 2009. Deck was split from hull, floor replaced, solid fiberglass transom with knees added and bottom blueprinted. Entire boat was block sanded and is strait and tru (no waves or ripples) painted in DuPont imron (1500 in paint). Seats are suspension seats by BS sand 3 color with flames stitched in seat backs with matching custom side panels. 17 gallon alum tank under bow custom built to fit low in hull with sending unit. Billet batt. holder, steering wheel, popup cleats, step pads and gauge trim. 6 in rapid jack, duel cable steering, sony stereo with 4 alpine wakeboard speakers, complete autometer gauge set. boat is light and fast. It has a pad of sorts (6in wide) and was run with a 150 and 225 promax to a top speed of 86. Fully rigged for mercury power, nothing missing, easy bolt on and go! Trailer was fitted to boat by me in 2009 with new bunks and loads very easy and is in great shape. This has been our summer boat for 6 years and we used it so it is not without its flaws. There are small scratches and cracks in the paint near the transom, nevertheless this classic is one of a kind, truly beautiful and attracts attention every time on the water. Located in northern WI, pm me for more details. Kelly

Im also curious on how you did the transom in solid fiberglass. Was it done in layers? Is it cored?

I built a mold and used a product called seacast then glassed the board into the boat. Worked quite well.

Very nice!
I wish my CVX20 looked half that good.If I knew it was going to last this long I would have taken better care of it.
