Also kinda weird, the bolts are coarse thread and have brass lock nuts on them. Never seen coarse thread brass lock nuts before. Just fine thread. Bolts/nuts should be fine thread, according to what I was taught at merc..

You can get 1/2-20 ARP Bolts through Summit Racing and nice thick AN washers through McMaster Carr, Id also make some backing plates for inside the transom.

This is how I rigged my 28 Skater have fun! Do the work yourself and save big $$$ Good luck

I am finding that what used to be refereed as "An Awesome Job with great Attention to Details" is is a thing of the with the exception of a few. I have taken Corvette's in for service and had dirty floor mats , spots on the leather seats. The new carpet in my little boat was trashed after having a motor hung, white vinyl seat were dirty and that was after spending close to $5000 in labor.

I would guess they hung the motors with what ever hardware was at hand and forgot to adjust them to match.

Give everything a good once over and make sure all is tight for putting it through it paces.

Very nice work. Ran them for 4 years with no issues even with a saltwater boat!
They always moved smooth and never got hung up.

Well there you go, I have one on the back of my key largo and they work great on hulls that dont need a lot of setback.

The struts are in Joe's boat, I quoted him and questioned the slide plates. :-)
