I'm not nearly as confident. How old is Mr. Allison? As they say, he is no spring chicken. Is there anyone around to take over the business once he's done? I wouldn't at all be suprised if he crushes the molds of every boat if he doesn't plan on passing it on. He has no interest in seeing his boats built improperly. If there's no one in line, even if he releases it, it's going to be a very narrow window. Those molds aren't going to bayliner.

Thats OK JC theres always plan B if the 23 never gets built. i would be perfectly happy with a new twin CRT talon 21 also. Theres always options. I hear you but I never say never until there is no more tomorrow. Im sure Darris is the same way. And as far as the molds go I dont think he would crush his lifes work. There are many friends of his that could take over what has already been created. As far as creating what hasn't been created well thats a different story.

If I was in the boat construction business and had a successful line of boats selling well and was overrun with work already, I would not venture into another boat design. You know that his current line of boats would be deemed obsolete if this boat is all that it is said to be. Why shoot yourself in the foot, with your own gun?

Niche markets get saturated easily. It happens with nearly all the boat mfgs. You build what is in demand. That's how you stay in business....

From the number of 21 foot Allison Bass Boats produced each year, the demand for those does not appear to be too good.

The demand for any of the Allison boats isn't very high. They sell almost no race boats, not sure when the last SS or GS was built. I'm guessing maybe 1-2 XB2002's a year. Allison does awesome work and the boats they do have are great boats but in my opinion they've just about priced themselves out of the market. Jack Barsh can't build boats fast enough and is backed up on orders. He builds a good product and a good price
