Serious? Buy you a beer? May I recommend the Whitefish Chain for a day of boating? I think a 28 Skater & an Allison SS are available for your driving pleasure... Head NW of the twin cities about 2 1/2 hours.

Who has this boat now? Its a 90' and we owned from 94 to 97. I got the boat from Tommy Walker in NJ and it was absolutely perfect with twin 260s. It then went to Scott Harrison until it went away in his divorce process in around 2002. Next it was in NY with a single X and think that its in FL now.

I sold it to Allan in louisville. He runs it on the Ohio river dodging logs and dreams of hanging another motor on the back.

    Matt,

I didn't know that you had it. What was the best that you were able to get it to run with the single? did it ever truly air up in smooth water? I am working with Dave on his 24 Predator (skater knock off) and I am sure that it is heavier, it has a stroked 300X and its not getting it done in flat water. We are putting a Porta bracket it on it with a 17 inch set back for our next attempt. If it will air up past the hop and run 90 then he will be happy-if not, time to build another motor....

In the great south bay it truly was in the 90's. In fla it was in the high 80's and I went from 1.62 to 1.75 gears to wake it up. It was amazing in 1-2 foot seas but boring in the bay and on river runs. I went back to a qtr shot with a 280 and I'm back in the adrenaline zone where I like to be.

Joe, I would start building another motor! It will perform OK but it will never have the excitement the 24 Skater was built to deliver......

Tux I'm thinking a pair of new XS's are on my Christmas List for the Predator !! I'm still gaining propellor info and looking for the right one with this single engine set up. It's certainly a work in progress !!
