i run a 26 pitch at 109...32pitch should put you close to 120 i would think.

For the record the bottom on my stv DOES NOT have cracks or ANY previous hull damage.Someone informed me they heard the bottom had cracks or was repaired.This boat is one ofvthe nicest out there.Thanks.

I can't believe this boat is still for sale!!!! This boat is as good as it gets!! It's fast not a scratch on it. It's one of the nicest STV out there! If you are gong to low ball Kevin don't waste your or his time. We all know how much it costs for theses boats. Speed comes with a price at this price most of your buddy's you boat with will be seeing the back of this boat!!!! Good luck with the sale Kevin someone will realize what it is once they see it in person.

JUST A LITTLE "FYI history""" --------


the boat being advertised was built between Robbie Lamkins 4 time ODBA Lake Racer World Championship Boat, and HIGH POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP Boat. ----(which later with the new owner added another 2 ODBA World Championships to its pedigree..........


then next, we built this boat in this ad......... for a very special friend of mine, ----

then we built the GREG'S GAS PLUS River Rocket, which Michael Dixon won the "Top Speed Shoot Out" out in FL with,@ 143. mph .......... which we later we broke the 150 mph barrier with it....... (151.5 MPH).

these (3) of these boats were all special built, .......with my personal hands nasty in them, and my personal direction involved.....
all (3) weighed within 6 pounds of each other....all 3 had bottom work done by me personally, ........

THIS IS THE ONLY ONE.......... of those........... 3.......very special TRIAD STV's ..... FOR SALE......

but in the original build of this boat..... it was a center steer 3 seater.....I have no knowledge of who changed it to a 4 seater

I own one of the three boats that Wally spoke about in the last post. With the exception of the boats built by Jack Barsch I have owned and actually used seven STV's over the last twenty years or so, In my opinion you cant buy a better boat than the ones built at Triad Manufacturing.

Wally Lampkin thank you for the knowledge on my STV.It is definately a special boat and the fact you had your hands on the build should tell ya a little about this hull.Thanks for your input.I know I will regret it once it sells.

Hi Folks,

I purchased this boat in 2008 from G-Train who won Jasper Lake Rocket I think with it. My wife's condition was it be side by side.

I had Rob Scythes of Scycraft racing, blank the dash and add a side by side seat mount over top of the original centre seat mount and make me an extra seat shell for the front seats. I had it done so I could easily have the seat deck removed, a little black gel and re use the original centre deck. Rob also cut the transom down for my 15" 2.5 260.

I had brand new front seat apolstry done to match the rear seat as they has to pull apart the drivers seat to make the template.

It has a racing fairing also.


i purchased the motor brand new in 1998, when I sold it to Kevin it had been rebuilt twice with around 200 hours on the whole motor since new. The sportmaster was brand new old stock small shaft.

For those who may not know, I crewed for Shaun Torentte for many years, we won in North America and I went to Europe with Shaun, Ted Gruguc and Alex Heldin. Ted is the only person who ever touched that motor and to appreciate how powerful and reliable it is you will have to buy it and open it. 30 years as a high performance mercury dealer, racer and crew chief you learn a thing or two. It only got the attention it did because of our 25 year friendship and my contribution to the team. It's not a 300hp plus bomb, it's a very healthily 260 lake rocket... Built, balanced and tuned to last.

Kevin, I hope you don't split it up. It's a very unique package and someone who understands will purchase it and have a boat & motor pair, built, rigged and maintained by some of the best in the industry.
