No doubt, it is tough on a guy. Once upon a time that kind of work never bothered me. Not any more, wife says it because I'm getting old.

Randy Corson is doing a Talon 22ss with a 400R on it that will be done before this one. That whole build will be posted from start to finish. He'll probably have it sold before it is finished.

I would not be surprised if the one in his current build is already sold as well.

Would be surprised as well that he isn't already taking inquiries.

I meant to say not already sold. I guess he is waiting to see how much he has in it maybe?

Randy or Todd, either one of you have any idea how long these hulls are with a single on a trailer? Will a 26' garage get the job done or will it require bigger?

Randy said the one he is building will be 29' with a 300xs. So add a couple feet to your garage and order one.

The boat with motor will be about 25-26 by itself depending on which set back bracket you use.

Please tell me what I heard yesterday is not true.......that this 22 is now going to be rigged with a 400R Verado. This boat will not work well for the waters Rich will be using this boat on with a 680# single hanging off the transom. Trust me, I know these Delta waters better than anybody out here, and I've owned a 22 Talon w/ a 470# single 300 hanging off the transom. Adding another 200#s at the rear off this small tunnel w/ narrow entry sponsons is a recipe for disaster. Talk Rich into sticking with the original plan of hanging a single 300XS off the back of it - it will be a much better Delta boat with that setup. You've also got to remember that Rich's only high performance boating experience is in a 21' Superboat with a single 300. Putting him into a 22' tunnel w/ a single 400 and a horrible cg is irresponsible imo........

What if a guy bolted one to right to the transom? I have gone from a 225 Promax to a 300xs and it only needed 4.5 inches less set back to balance it back out. I think 10 inches back with a 300xs on a talon is the norm, why not 4 or less with a 400r on one? On the small tunnel and 400 note, Kmg has a 22 with a 400 that's gonna debut at the storm. For that matter, wouldnt both hulls with a single 400 be a bit better then them with twin 2.5's?
