2015 250 ProXS fuel pressure question
I am rigging twin 2015 250 Pro XS OPTIs and wondering do I need to install supply fuel pumps ? Or are squeeze bulbs enough? If I install supply fuel pumps, what supply pressure are they looking for?

I run them on mine just so that I don't need to worry about anything other then turning the key to prime the vst pump. I also like the idea of assisting the vst pump by pushing fuel through my water separators and filters. You don't want to go over 7 psi for your feed pump. The pumps that I use are the Carter 4600HP (high volume/low pressure) and have never had an issue. Randy "Wildman" uses the little electric inline pulse pumps on all of the optimax motors that he rigs.

Thanks - the separators and filters were my concern as well.

Water separators/filters were not designed for any pressure being applied to them........You can blow out the o-ring seal at the filters base/seal area, and fill the bilge with fuel........Reg marine fuel line is not meant to be pressurized either. You should use an efi kevlar reinforced hose minimum for pressurized systems. Even 7 lbs of pressure. And EFI type hose clamps or even better a-n fittings and ss hose. JM 2cts

Just install your primer bulb before your fuel sep. once the filter and engine vst are fuel you really shouldn't need to use the primer bulb again until you change the filter
