    24 skater transducer location (in hull)

    does anyone have any advice on the best location for an in hull transducer (type that glues to the bottom of the hull) in a 24 skater? any help appreciated .

    If yours does not have thru hull pick ups, it is solid glass where they go, that's the only place that isn't cored. Also, they will only work off plane, with the steps it aerates the water to much on plane for a good reading.

    i don't have thru hull pickups. so basically there is no good place to mount it?

    Yes, right in front of the transom, next to the drain plug, solid glass there.

    I can see why you would want one. We changed the water pump impeller on my wife's pontoon 115 EFI yesterday and serviced the lower unit and changed the oil. Man was it cool to see exact water depth and have a map of the bottom of the lake maneuvering back through the shallows and all the dock anchors at the marina. Way cool, never had a bottom mapping unit before.
