So sounds like I am screwed a buddy of mine has friends that our attorneys and unfortunately...that unless there is solid evidence that somthing is physically wrong with the motor I can't get a lemon law claim cause all they have to say is they did all their test and everything is reading fine....so I have a 25k boat anchor 350 sci that a 225 is faster than

The engine isn't equipped with a lake temp sensor so it defaults to -58 and is perfectly normal and will not affect the running of the engine.

Is your 350 a new production engine or the previous 350 merc racing engine? One thing I don't understand is how the computer is showing abusive over speed at 6200 rpms

It I the racing 350 sci....yeah the only way we got it to 6245 is a small 17 pitch prop....and it isn't suppose to go to red line till 6850

Anyone near this guy that can bolt a different stock motor to his boat?
Something like an old carbed 200 fishing motor that could be run without much rigging?

I have a 225 in the garage I'm putting new rings in and then gonna install it back on it

Rigging is all different for the Verado.
Seems like a 200 hp tune in the ECU.
Need to get a known good 350 ECU on that thing.
We had a boat that ran good when new, then after a time period went down 4"P to get the engine back to the rev limit.
Seems like a new computer fixed it, but not 100% sure as the local Merc Techs took it over and it changed owners at the same time. And moved far away from me.
