We used a sod farm in labelle once a month between 8-12 in the morning.
we were putting birds up 45000 ft. So the air traffic needed to go around.!
that picture is from Oklahoma where we would fly all the crazy stuff.

We had a lotta fun when we figured out we could replace the parachute with a couple hundred grains of FFFg black powder to make "guided missiles". Of course they were single use only.

I remember as kids riding in the back of the truck. I got smart and decided it would be cool to light a bottle rocket and let it fly in front of us....... not such a good idea after all. Cruising along at 30-40mph, rocket went just over head high down the road in front of the truck, motor burned out, (pause, slight drop and the truck caught up) and BAM-!!!!! Peppered us pretty good.

Ok, so its not a cool story about Estes stuff
