Hello Everyone - 80Vking said I should jump in here, so if a FNG (Freaking New Guy) isn't allowed it's all his fault. I just bought my second Viper, now I have 2 1977 Vipers that I have never ridden in. The new one is a beauty, but I will need to inspect/address the core which I have no experience with other than what I have read and been told by some friendly HS guys I've been fortunate enough to talk to. I am really looking forward to getting the new one ready and joining the fun. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Darrel

Well, I rescued a 1982 Vector the other day and for what I got it for, (Pretty much free) I couldnt say no. Sadly the windshield does have a crack right in the middle about a 1/4 to 1/2 way up it. When I picked it up it was covered in dirt and a thick layer of dried up moss and junk from spending the last 10+ years sitting in the trees. Half of the demo was started by someone else that got a little happy with a skill saw when cutting out the floor. Sadly the red is not metal flake. After a little bit of time with the pressure washer and a very light scrubbing, it cleaned up pretty good. I have a bunch of other pictures here - http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/vie...hp?f=13&t=2762

Of course there is no real plan for this yet until the Vulture is done and where I want it. Which is coming along slowly buy surely. I have a nice pile of parts for it now. Just need a few more things.

Here is before when it got it.

And after a good hose down.

No I didnt get the trailer with it. I have to put that back under another boat sooner than later unfortunately. Now hopefully this one wont sit around for 7+ years. haha

Thanks, I wish I could keep them both. The cool thing is they were both built in January, 1977. The red one first (#648) then the Apricot (#767).

Back on the water yesterday after repairing the bottom! Felt great...bottom handled fantastic...less hop better in the turns...flew nice a straight

Need to rebalanced the boat...and working on getting the windshield ready to go back on....didnt care for top end running without it....think I'm sitting too high

Not bad for a shake down run and no seat time for 3 months

That was never ran or setup prop and there should be more rpm there in the end

Edit: 26 offshore chopper.....I like how that cut handled

If anyone can help me bring up the quality I would be very happy.......haven't uploaded a video in a while and it defaulted to 240p garbage

EDIT: I fixed them and I'm an idiot but the new ones should be good in a couple minutes

I really wish I could have made it. I was very close to being able to also, but right now I'm handing my mom's care and it's not easy for me to get out to events right now.
Schramer, I would be happy to help you in any way you need. Just email me with anything you need.

Please keep the photos coming everybody. All I can do is live vicariously through all of you
