General info on an 85 Daytona Eliminator v drive

Hey everyone. I bought this boat end of this past Summer with no engine. The rest of the drive train is there which incudes a TH400 still hooked up etc. I was told this boat was kinda rare. After doing a little research I tend to agree. It's in excellent shape and is one mean looking SOB sitting on the trailer! Anyway, I have a bunch of new guy v drive questions. The guy I bought it from had the same boat with a jet drive (2 years newer I believe) with an injected blower motor. It runs 107 ish I believe he said. He said the v drive would run around 80 with a mild big block. I'm wonder what it would take to run an honest 100 mph. Any input or even a forum dedicated to v drives would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for being so long winded I just finisheda large coffee! :0

Go check out the v-drive section on PerformanceBoats dot com. There are several people over there that have owned v-drive daytona's (and other tunnels).

Not a great pic, but here is a pic of a 19 Daytona v-drive.
