So drill a couple holes above the cav and give it 34*, doesn't make sense the 25 has more . Unless , they didn't re curve the low end advance. Maybe they tried 28 total and felt economics of parts made it easier to over advance to loose hp?

The 35 has taller gearing so probably backed it down for more torque. Originally Posted by FMP

On that light boat, give it ign and let it breath. Prop hp is that, less gear torque etc, those guys cheat.

So you have the taller 1.75 gearing and more total ign. These are BIA rated, that's crank hp. The 35s easier gear lets it spin the extra 500. Give the 35 the 34* ign and even better.

Gary did you check the diameter of the carb? Some of the 25s had a smaller intake hole with a coresponding(sp?) carb as I converted a 25 by boring the intake to the 35 carb dia. and timing. Gary
