XB you are probably right. With the elevated TQ over a 2 stroke it should like probs more like what a stern drive likes. I'll have to check on the Hydromotive props because I'd like to find a larger diameter wheel with a lot of surface area without having to buy one of the crazy expensive Merc CNC ones as a test/guess.

AZ - will do, we are starting to get excited.

I've been told the 400 does NOT have much low end torque it has to get the compressor spinning to make power, once it is packing air then it comes alive, Good Luck.

I guess that's possible Cuba. Most positive displacement blowers like this make instant boost and have to bleed off the excess. I will say this, this is Brent's motor being recycled and he didn't lead me to believe it was lacking lowend TQ.

You have 400+ hanging off the back of a potato chip, and you're worried about lag.

Why did Brent get rid of it so quickly?

Because it would require him to start the learning/propping process all over again and he didn't want to do all of that when he had a good combo before.

Ally - Its all good man, I can try to explain it further via text/type but I fear it will get (maybe already has) lost in translation. Luckily for us it isn't all about top speed, it's about a complete fishing package. We will be happy with 100 and based on my conversation with people that have run one, it will do at least that. Time will tell what it ultimately does, it's all speculation at this point :-)

Stas - Thanks man, will keep everyone updated whether it goes 86 or 106.

Awesome, I own Hendrix-Engineering. Com..I'm known for getting the most power out of the Magnason supercharger, which is a positive displacement blower. If you run into anything I may can help with give me a call.

Definitely give the Hydromotive guys a shout. They're the best in the business, and just great people all around. And lol to all the bull**** artists naysayers. Telling someone that something that's never been done isn't going to work because they've never done it. Lol indeed.

Best of luck, its a beauty of a rig.
