    Thumbs up

Couldn't have picked a better dude to work this project. Can't wait to see the pics as it progresses. As a past 22 Talon with single 300PM owner, (should have kept it) I have one suggestion. Fab a new rear deck lid and put a sun pad on it so you can sit your butt on it. The original Talon deck lid with the fake louver vents was useless and a waste of space. I also added billet swim steps which made getting in and out of the boat very easy.

How does this hull handle when put into a hard turn? I'm sure it changes rigged with twins or single too.

I have put the Talon twins and the singles into pretty hard turns and can honestly say it turns very flat and glues down pretty good. I owned a lot of 21' Skaters with twins and singles and that was one of the things I did not like about them was the turning especially if you had to do it at any speed and real quickly.

The center pod helps quite a bit and the Talon is also wider in the tunnel then a 21' Skater.

The Talon 22 SS has a 95" beam. It is 45.5" wide at the bottom of the tunnel and is 43.5" at the top in width. A 21' Skater is (this is off the top of my head) 87" beam, 42" at the bottom and 39" at the top.

F14, yours is the XL model correct? You have the I/O obviously but, how does it handle in some big chop?

such a good looking boat , talon was so ahead of there time , they tooled alot of there boats in the 80's, that 37 is one of the best looking boats out there, and its an old design.

I would have thought the tunnel dimensions were designed with the pod in mind. Removing it could be interesting.

I agree their designs were way ahead of their time and the bottom of this boat is one of the best ever made. My XL eats up the chop like it's not even there. The big V-8 is fun but I would prefer the XL with a 300 or 400 on it.

different deal but , ive had 3 mirages. stv.... 3 seebolds and to run a boat with no center pod was a different animal, a seebold with a s 3000 with a speedmaster, and a mirage with a sportmaster, totally different

ask chris justice when he ran the 22 talon with speedmasters , versus the cle,s
