Was not positive on the intake side being on the right (starter) side and was wanting to know if you pull one of the intake side covers, can you look inside and see the hole in the piston skirt??? I know you can check the rings for tension and was just wondering if the hole passes the intake port, got to find out if this is really a 150 horse, or god forbid, maybe a 90 horse.

Yes you can see the piston port through the transfer port opening but this is not a positive , as most replacement pistons have the piston port. Measure the port height, 90-115 blocks without the power port will only be 7/16" high and flush with the crank side of the opening. The top of the port opening should have a little more than 1/8" not milled , The port for a power port block will be almost full height and close to flush to the top of the transfer port opening.

The 852-7738 block appears to be the transition block to ADI running from 79-84 ,I suspect some of these blocks could have been replacements for dist blocks or converted for what ever reason . I have a new 1100 Tiger block and front never been assembled that I have no use for if anyone is interested .

We never have them down here furthur, on the southeast coast, all winter long. We don't miss them at all. Gotta be close to the ocean where the breeze is always blowing. Its freak'n heaven down here in the winter.
