    Twin motor toed in or out?

    Have a cougar mtr 23 with twin outboards. Boat has a center pod. Curious if motors should be toed out alittle? Any info is appreciat .thanks

    We toe the cat we run based on whether we turn the props out or in. We toe in when we turn in...that way, the clearances in the steering are compressed and the gear cases tend to be straight when running fully loaded, offering the least resistance. If you turn the props outward (which is safer) then we toe out just slightly...for the same reason.
    ...but I'm sure there will other opinions...

    Thanks. Whats agood starting point 1/4 in? Toe out would be the rear of cases are closer then fronts right?

    Yeah... toe is the front of the gearcase (pointy end ) toe out - propshafts get closer
