How to properly transport a merc v6
I'm about an hour away from transporting a 89 2.4 merc.
I'm using a pickup truck and have blankets.
Which side should I lay the motor on?Azure AZ259, 8.1

You're better off strapping it down with the clamp bracket down.

Hang it on the tailgate.

Drain the carbs/vst & oil tank (which ever it has) first. I have a gig for mounting it to the clamp brackets...if you don't, lay it on the switch box side ...that side has better support (starter motor) that the flimsy shift bracket on the other side (which I've seen snap).
