"Timing set to 136* btdc." Is that a typo? Not sure what it should be but most are set in the low 20* area especially with increased compression.

HA ! Ok ok ok - I'll go 136* ! ! ! Zoom Zoom Boom ?! I don't think it would even Idle at that setting haha.
I did have to yank the flywheel off to get the timing right because I aligned the stator a bolt hole off - I could only get 10* advanced at the farthest setting on the trigger. Yanked the flywheel, clocked the stator another bolt hole, and voila... all better haha.

Did you mark TDC on the flywheel for all 3 cylinders and set timing from the one that read the most advanced?

    Use the NGK . http://www.marineengine.com/newparts...m=MER1395-6207
If you start wit these you can drill them out. Or try the jets from a 105 Chrysler .086 .084 but that will be too rich. Check the plugs again after a few hrs. Fresh fuel good oil and psi will show .

With these X flows stock is 30-34. This style with 195+ psi and proper fuel in race tune would be 36+* .

What did you gap them at? NKG BUHW is .050 . BUHW-2 is .072 but that might not work with the ign.

I've decided I am just going to buy some other stock jets and drill them out bigger. It's even hard finding drill bit kits for .078" / 0.080" / 0.082" to try out.
Hope it runs well this afternoon!

Ran it today- runs fine on the driveway but like poo in the water at idle. I need to do the idle air jet adjustment all over again.
So it has Way more power it feels like. I just cruised around a bit and it is no effort at all to hit 5krpm- like wayyyyy easy 1/3 throttle. So I still need a bigger prop and prob better gears.
Heres the plugs-cyl 1 is lightest. Cyl 3 is darkest. (Also the one that fried before.) I haven't checked each chlinder to see which is most advanced yet.

    On the plugs?

First plug could use bit more gas, as second look pretty normal to me but maybe a tad rich. Last? Thats REALLY needing gas! Need some "chocolate brown" insulator like #1. Just my dumbass opinion...........

YOU don't want a repeat of #3 so try to check the timing , try a little bigger jet in #3 than the rest . What is could be is the ex port size you now have and the ex mix that is getting into #3 from the stuf before close and the heat from that, but haven't seen it on #4 on the L4.
