30p A5 pulls hard right ,28 A5 not nearly as much why?

After solving other challenges , finally getting some good river runs in. Tried my 30 A5 ,may have a little cupping, pulls right a bit but takes two arms to crank it left and it almost seems to understeer and when it starts to turn it is like nothing happens then the back almost wants to kick out. Running a 28 A5 boat turns right really well and left fairly good.Boat is a Charger STV which is a heavy splash copy of a Laser LTV with six in elec jack plate .Is the hard turning due to engine height ,although jacking up or down didn't produce any noticeable changes or is it a propeller characteristic?

Some props want to wrestle with you and some want to give you power steering. Seems the more rake they have the more torque to the wheel.

Props are all different, even when they are supposed to be the same. You could take the 30 to Kawartha propellers, they have a good rep.

for clarity Charger built the STV with permission. Usually splash means an unapproved copy.

Higher pitch props in general produce more paddlewheel effect and the 30 has a different blade profile than the 28, much less progressive pitch and smaller diameter, your results with increased torque steer are not unexpected.

If my memory suits me well, I remember having MAJOR issued with a Chopper Prop 28'' that was sooooo hard to steer, that I went to Hydraulic SeaStar wheel. Honest, I had to let go of the throttle to be able to steer....unbelievable.

I'd forgotten that the 30 big ears were almost small ear size blades. My experience was the reverse. Big blade choppers made my SS2000 spooky with my old motor. I could keep it more or less straight, but the bow was always moving left to right.

There is a video on you tube showing that. Wheel is steady and boat rocks side to side. Mine is the same . Training wheel effect I guess.
