Another ? for GM guys
2005, 1500 5.3gas four door Silverado 4x4 154K. got it @17months/47K..driver seat moves backward when control is pushed forward and forard when moved backward. at 85K- trailer tow button stopped working. now trailer tow lite+ function started to work by itself after 6 years(with tow button I can shut off but not turn on). ever since I got it, when I shut key off and move both front windows DOWN w/driver controls, my seat moves foward and up by itself.stops moving when I move ANY seat control. related issues??? thanx -th

memory seat? if so ,the seat module(msm) needs re programming to fix backwards switch issue, their is a bulletin on this. would need to be done at your dealer , sorry.have seen MANY Escalades do this.it may also fix the seat movement when operating windows but there may be a partially grounding circuit in the seat wiring, drivers memory seat has more parts than an automatic transmission! trailer tow switch may be just bad, or a circuit going to it thru the steering column.should be easy to diagnose.

Since Onboard Diagnostics Second Generation(OBDll) arrived in 1996, its all been about the grounds. Everything goes haywire without good clean contacts/grounds. All (GM)black with white tracers are chassis grounds. All solid blacks are engine charging system related & powertrain grounds. They all have to be perfect.
