No. 12% is what they run at the buoy in a drag race, give or take but it's real close

My 24 Yam/Tillman is at 7% on my Ally. Or was the last time I ran it and it didn't blow out... That has been verified by radar a few times.

Thanks again,Is it possible/likely for a 280 on a light boat to pull a 26 to 8500 in a 1/4 mile with 1.86 gearing?

I just did the calculations on mine. If you figure my prop at a straight 22 it comes in at 10% slip at the 660 ft buoy. I'm sure it would go lower the further you ran it
