WTB a old style mercury 2.4 Preload, top push button drive shaft for 20" lower unit

I have a mercury 2.4 preload lower unit with broken drive shaft would like to replace it. does anyone have a old style top push button, preload drive shaft for 20" lower unit laying around for sale?

Thanks Mark, I looked there for one for sale but didn't see one. I'll try that though. The lower unit I have has a bobs low water pick up on it so I hate to trash it. It would make a good back up unit for me. I know everyone has probably trashed the old school stuff. Hope all is good with you, thanks

I don't know if this is correct or not, but I just saw this on Ebay yesterday while looking for something else:

44000 1 supersedes to 897624T.

This driveshaft interchanges with essentially every Mercury V6 ever made. Even if your old driveshaft had a pre-load pin, this later model shaft will change out with it. If you are unsure of the fit for your engine, please feel free to contact us.

I'm not saying to buy it, just that if they're right you may not need the pre-load pin style shaft?
