Need more power 225 3.0L carb

Looking to get another 30+ hp be ideal. 95 3.0L carb 225 off shore series.

Im wondering how much I can cut the heads. Or what cc factory is I run 93 octane in it now but if I need to run 108 race gas I'll do it

planning on putting a exhaust tuner on it and rejet the carbs and possibly a 300 pro max ignition module.

Tha ks for the help in advance.

Unless this is a drag race/ grudge race boat, I wouldn't do mods that require full race fuel. That sounds like it would be quite expensive to use a lot. Your goals.should be achievable with premium pump gas

For 93 oct gas you need to keep the comp under 150 psi. About 145 PSI preferably as a small buffer in case you got a bad batch of gas, etc.

You might want to note what you would like to get out of this boat/engine combo rather than just horsepower on the engine. Say, if you want to get a certain speed then list engine, mods, setup and hull. That way others can give you all kind of info to achieve your boat goals. Some engine and setup mods might be a lot easier and cheaper than going with am engine that requires race fuel.

Boat runs mid 70s now. It's a class 7 opa boat so I just want more raw power for turns and if I need to back out that I have the power to get there quicker to 60mph.

now correct me if i am wrong but 3.0L 225 hp's are '' O'rings '' heads I bought 300X heads instead of shaving the heads

Now I am in the process of adjusting the jetting on those carbs....they were .074 almost all around now I made them .076'' an increase of ..002''

will see this week-end if God is great with me.
