Is it possible to Lower the Hieght of a Bimini Top?

For the width I needed I could only find a 46 inch high top frame and I am thinking that is going to be about 10-12 inches to high and look funny. I had read somewhere about shortening the center pole and re rivet the hardware in place.

I just think 34-36 inches tall with the center pole mounted just behind the rear windshield support frame would look better.

Thanks for any ideas or advice.

most binini top frames are just allunimum tubing
and hardware has either allen set screws or rivets'
easy to modify to fit ur application
go to any hardware store and get a plumbers tubing cutter
makes cleaner,,,more even cut than a hack saw
and no mess in boat as u do it in place to get ur fit

I have done this several times. As John stated, Just measure, cut and re-rivet the hardware onto the vertical tubes, aluminum or SS. Simple.

    Tom,

Thanks, but ti is a Schuster Tahiti.....Sidewinder Splashed the hull and upper deck after Schuster Splashed the Glastron Deep Vee Hull...then to get even Schuster Splashed the Low Pro Deck...Let the law suits fly and nothing was ever settled as I understand it.

Schuster had the barrel seats and Sidewinder had a glass V back the back seat but that is the only difference.
