Great Car!
Terrible tow vehicle. Do not listen to them when they say its good for 5000 lbs. I have the tow package. It is safe for 2500 lbs. I have a new searay 19spx and that is not a heavy boat..it is scary to tow because it wags the rear end all the time.
I sold it and got a used navigator...much better.

I tow my challenger with a 2013.. Tows like a dream probably like 3k total weight dual axel aluminum trailer
Are you sure the trailer and tongue weight was set up correct

Explorer's empty weight is 4700#s, Trailer is 3000#s = Good to go....
