It's not my job to defend him, but greynester aka Bernard is a vendor. He is also a neighbor who has been willing to help me when I've asked. I guess my point is, he is trying to make a buck when he can, but that fact is divulged and known as a vendor. It's up to the individual if they choose to eat and poop In the same back yard or not.

Pyro. I sent the pics because I told you I would. I have apologized to you countless times on here and through text. But at this point I don't give a **** if your pissed. You just insist keeping up with the ranting and bitching.
You have shown your true colors with all your bitching and even if it wasn't sold,I would smash that cowl before I sold it to you. Get a damn life man. Unbelievable.

COWL IS SOLD. U.S. Postal Service money order sent.
So don't worry about me having to wait for funds to clear. I appreciate your concern though.

Mr Bridgeport, why did you just delete your reply? I don't see the $900 asking price anywhere. His original post doesn't show that it was edited. Why did your offer get turned down?
Scott, you could have had the cash in hand by now, and nothing to ship.Last edited by pyro; 07-25-2015 at 10:11 PM.

i can't believe everybody is fighting over an overpriced cowl, its ridiculous, i just bought a mint bridgeport cowl stored in a box for 20 years from ebay for 267.00 shipped all original its a 9 to 10, anybody spending 900.00 for that cowl is insane, and mine is not for sale sorry, i sell parts on this sight to help out people, not to screw anybody over, been in this business for 28 years, dual master tech for mercury and mercruiser, cancer survivor, and 3 time world and national champion in apba offshore in p1 class with mike fiore from outerlimits, don't want to be part of this cowl conversation anymore its a waste of my time and just pissing everybody off , lets move on and treat each other with a little respect, there will be other cowls for sale, thanks for your time

Yep. As for the "flippers", last I checked this was America...and making a living buying parts then re-selling them was not illegal nor immoral. If Bernard or whoever buys some part for a good price then sells it for a higher price, that's called making a buck--kudos to him. Somehow that's "not fair" in the world of high performance outboarding? Kumbaya!

Kumbaya, yes. I'm spending time with family this weekend. Much more satisfying than bickering about overpriced parts. I don't need it anyway.

i got in trouble on this site for trying to sell without a vendor tag (they claimed it was too much )and it was NOT FAIR to the vendors tag guys , looks like times have changed , but i sold way more off my past reputation and old customers and Craigs list , ebay then i ever sold on here, so it did not affect me financially, i still try to help who ever needs it

Holy sh*t!!! This is better than having to watch Days of our Lives with my wife!!! Best entertainment I've had in weeks. It's a damn shame I didn't see all this last night while I was drinking I'm still looking for the schedule of rates for what all this "overpriced" stuff is supposed to sell for?? Seems like a part is worth whatever a person is willing to pay for it, as in, what it's worth to them.. Anyone ever heard of supply and demand??

This is hilarious. I haven't enjoyed a thread on here this much since the last Eagle One cowl disaster.
Pyro, you are acting like a child. but it would expect that. The evidence of poor quality lingers much longer than the success of meeting a budget.

I know Pyro was concerned with having to pack and ship that cowlso I just wanted to set his mind at ease. Buyer sent his friend to personally pick it up. So no shipping involved. I know Pyro was really worried about that. lol.
Thanks Scream and Fly.

No Point really old post
Here's where the problem lye's Mercury's prices are out of control ,driveing the price of the used stuff to the moon ! A 1995 2.5 Cowl is 1,895.00 for top cover ,pan and skirt and thats with on decals ,so used stuff in good condition go's for about half and there you have it! Just my 2 cents
