"After many years of research, Lundins Marin R&D have developed a technology to upgrade some Evinrude E-tec engines, etc."?

They remap the ECU like on car engines. They claim it will not change the ID code of the ECU and will not show that anything is done while on service.
I have read on some swedish forums that it works very well but I am no expert and can not "vouche" for it.
This is for Verado:
MERCURY Verado 135hp - upgrade to 175hp!
MERCURY Verado 135hk(2007-) - upgrade to 200hp!
MERCURY Verado 200hk - upgrade to 275hp!
MERCURY Verado 225hk(2007-) - upgrade to 300hp!

For the tuned 150ho the maximum torque is around 4000 rpm and max HP just below 5000rpm. This particular engine has recommended rpm from 5300 to 6000. The measurements will suggest to have wot at 5000 to get the most power. I have a 200ho and wonder how the torque and power curcves are for it.

Interesting. I race with a 150 HO and have always found that a 28P prop running 4800-5000rpm gives the best performance. We have tried a 24P of the same style and always found it felt a little 'off' vs the 28P. Real world testing that is confirmed by dyno data is always good!

That data is for a stock 150ho? Any Idea what gains they get with the tuned 150ho?

The data is for a tuned 150HO and regular 150. I think the torque is very good at 300 Nm

They don't actually rate it as a 150. For years, the brochures and on line data has said 'factory tuned for high performance' instead of 150 HP
http://www.evinrude.com/en-ca/engine...ho/etec_150_ho
Maybe when I get tired of putting gas in my Promax...On the other hand, if the 150 HO had as much torque <4000 as the Promax, I could swap sooner.

so if i am to understand this correctly, a stock 150 ho should run wide open around 5000 rpm, and this goal rpm should be achieved solely by having a proper diameter/pitch prop?

Wait, so this is a modified motor? This is the 60* motor right. Any figures on the 200- 60* motor?
