Who else had a great weekend?

Picked up a glastron gt150 as a project. Transom and floors were already professionally done, came with a non running 74 mercury 850 and a spare 1150 powerhead, midshaft. Replaced the fuel line on the 850 and could not get it fired up.

Did some reading/research and Sat morning picked up a some starting fluid. Hooked up muffs, gas, 2 very little squirts (since I know it's not a good thing to do) fired right up and continued to idle great. kept the rpms under 1100. Okay, big smiles, it works.

Dropped it in my lake, fine, runs great but no power, no going over 1100 rpm. Do a few holy crap it runs laps and docked it.

Sunday, new plugs, good gas, cleaned the dist rotor and cap, tightened up some loose wires, turned the air/fuel screw all the way and backed it out 1.5 turns (on both) now runs great and hits over 3000 rpm. (Prop is way to big, its got a 1:00:1 lower). 34mph. Get the right prop and its pretty much set!

Great weekend. And my other boat was running perfect as usual.
