40 Johnson 1984

I've got a 1984 40 OMC 20'' i'm looking to get out of my motor shed. It's super clean for the year... block has little if any corrosion. looks a little faded, but really nice inside. compression was 145/95. Pulled the head and bottom cylinder is all chewed up. was hoping it was just the headgasket... wishful thinking. Sleeve is a little more than hairline cracked. Might have spun a locator pin and ring then caught on exhaust port. The pieces from the ring probably beat up the piston and ruined the head. All the other parts look really nice. Doesnt look to have been apart. A new sleeve and piston should let it run like new. Lower unit in excellent shape. Propshaft is strait as an arrow. Looking for $250 firm.
