Years ago, my friend would strap a video camera to his Telemaster Senior R/C plane. He worked up to having the guts to a security cam hooked up to a microwave transmitter and could fly the plane from a monitor on the ground. We had a friend who had us on the lookout for throw away stuff like microwaves, radar arrays and radio equipment for him to use to make transmitters and repeaters.

Must have had more guts than I do! I only do boats, which while they can sink they can't fall out of the sky. My knees still knock my first few tanks of fuel in the spring after a long winter. Sounds like quite a guy, must have been a cool guy!

I not sure this company is taking orders anymore and is apparently giving prepaid order money back.

To bad it is a cool Idea, but there are other options. Trouble is they only fly at about 40 mph max, so a follow me function would fall back fast. However it can zoom out and up and catch a run at a higher altitude.

Here is likely the best choice going now, but is more $$ at 1K.

It also does a lot more, it's just not water proof.

Supposedly the "Lily" would hover and wait, pointed at where you were, until you came back into range... so in theory it would shoot your from a distance coming back at it... follow you as far as it could... and shoot you going away from it. Would have been cool.
