There are a few 2400 Pulsares with the 400r, I don't know who has a Blue one with a white motor though. Here is a link to the Checkmate forum with some of them reporting in.

Looks like the 2400 Checkmates (with a tight bow cover on) are seeing exactly 80mph on the with the 400R after a lot of set-up work. The 2400's have no pad at all, it's a true 22 degree V and the lower unit on the 400R is a bigger diameter so more drag than a 300XS. 80mph gps is pretty darn good for a hull that is fairly heavy and a full 8' wide. I'd be curious what the hull weight is compared to a Tuff 28.

The one guy has been 81.5 second or third time out with it....that's with a 24p blaster. I think he will see 85 ish with a 26-27 no problem. They run 75-78 with a 300xs and are a solid boat and have some weight to them.

I got a glance at one last week down here with the 400. The owner said 80 on the nose with him and his wife, I couldn't stop looking at the boat !!!!

The motor actually looks good on that boat. Proportion wise.

If you have room on your driveway or in your garage for 27-28ft of boat and trailer it's a pretty good around package. Besides looking good, tubing, skiing, wake boarding, seating for 10+, decent ride in waves and 80mph.

I had a 24 Checkmate many years ago, I did not think it was that great in ruff water , nice boat but you need something bigger for offshore .

I think I know the boat you are talking about, but I'm pretty sure its a 300 Verado. It looks exactly like the picture above.
