Someone should race this hull bottom in XCat

is the hull bottom a variable-deadrise bottom?

Tunnel might be too shallow for big waters.

It's probably the new 5 seat pleasure boat headed to Grants for rigging. Twin 400R boat.

Does anybody know the degrees of deadrise on the sponsons yet? Looks awfully flat in the pictures. Certainly gonna' be fast as hell with that wide tunnel and narrow sponsons, but it may be giving up ride quality in the rough if the sponsons are down around 14 degree. It won't surprise me if they get 130 out of this boat with twins - either 300Xs or XSs. I hope they don't ruin it with a pair of 400Rs.

Work on deck plug is coming along great. Dash design is done and in the works. All new seats have been designed and partially built. This boat is designed around either a Big Eight, Monty, RGR, engine. or twins 300, But there are two Big Eight motors with fifteen inch mids being built for one of the first ones. The 400 single will also be tested. Thanks and will try to get update pictures soon

That's all great, but did you not read my post? I actually have a friend that is interested in possibly buying one of these (he's flying back to the Miami show to see what's new out there to buy), but he wants XSs and is wondering how it's going to take the rough. He doesn't get on here at all, so I told him I'd do some research for him. I guess the deadrise angle is top secret or something?

I think the 32' dw's are 17 degree. It looks to be less than that possibly but hard to tell.
I agree it will be fast but for your friend I guess it depends on what you guys consider rough? LOL
    Rough here is 4-6's.
Hope all is well and your boat is running great!

Razor, as stated before in here, I think Noli made mention of it , it is a variable dead rise . You are more than welcome to call Doug and discuss it at length. As far as rough Me personally I will not say until I have actually run run to see first hand. Thanks

    Dale,

I think its 13 at the rear and it was never designed to be a big water offshore boat with that shallow tunnel but it should handle about the same water that a 28 takes according to Doug. Ron is correct that the 32s are 17 other then Gary's current race boat which is less and he has told me that ride quality is no different but other characteristics are now better. Twin V-8 Monty motors on this RGR is going to give a new meaning to acceleration in an outboard boat of this size!!!

I hope Grant puts some remote pick ups in that thing and gets those big cases out for the true top #--
