Dana was a great place to deal with, one guy in particular can't remember his name but was a great guy. Bought a bunch of stuff for my Cougar in one color and the battery box did not match and a week later had a new one that matched and was told to keep the old one.

Flying out to TX. tomorrow to line up the first couple of 28s and get this program back on track. We are finalizing a couple of minor changes and production will be resuming. Dan's (the first boat) will be ready to start documenting the performance of these hulls within the next 10 days or so. He boats on the Delta in CA. and there has been a ton of trash in the water that has prevented him from being able to run. He also changed his seat angles for a more personal fit so that along with shipping times have slowed him up as well. There are two hulls ready now and another will be hitting the mold next week. The first one for the East coast will be in central Florida for people to see as things progress. These are going to be the best performance for the money within anything close to its size. Anyone that has interest or questions about these hulls please give me a call. 386 527 1845

That wouldn't surprise me at all - Through hub cleavers works extremely well on smaller Nordic cats.

People are still hanging on to old Mach and Mercury through hub cleavers over here...

The trip/meeting went well for the purchase of the next DW 28. We are making some changes to the upper dash pod (it will be narrowed up to accept a typical 7 inch screen like Dan has in his boat). The mounting area and dash outer ring will be upholstered with the same fit and finish as showed but there will be a slight dash pocket and clear view directly in front of the driver and passenger. The screen mount will also be angled in a more upright position to make viewing easier. We are also changing the area that Dan has his current trim switches mounted in to be able to accept an additional 7" screen (gps)-it too will be angled in a more upright position and then flow down into a console that is going to run back on the floor to the front of the seats. This is being done to accept hand controls (we are using the Hardin Marine units as a mock up) they are just over 5" wide and 9" long. I feel that these changes will benefit everyone and all of the future boats. This most recent boat will be in central Florida and also powered with twin 300XS motors. Again, anyone that has interest in getting in on this initial group purchase can call me for questions and or details 386 527 1845.

Two more that are being rigged and a couple pictures of what will most likely be the fastest fishing rig around when its done. The camo hull is going to get a flat deck with a recessed twin passenger console "similar to an LCB". There will be seating in the rear and seats for two on the front of the console as well. I will let people know as this project progresses.

A well thought out package . Minor adjustments to driver preference , here and there is pretty common .
Joe I'm glad to see you are picking up the ball and running with it . Way to nice to have let it slip in to oblivion ...

You will be able to experience it first hand when I get mine. They are an incredible piece and something that I wanted back when it was nothing more then a drawing on Doug's computer. I almost tried to swing a 32 in my mind several times and just don't have the financial horsepower to make it happen without getting rid of a bunch of stuff. This boat lets me keep most of it and still have something nicer then any of my previous ones. It will be a fun new "owners group" that gets created.

When RG was still with us , I was getting regular updates down on this end . Beautiful ~ beautiful boat ...
Against better judgment , I'll take you up on your offer ... I told Gordon long ago , I'm torn between wanting one of those and .... moving closer to retirement with no payment books ...

Well Paul made a change and pulled the trigger today on a pair of 400's for the next DW28. The guys at mercury are predicting mid 130s as the propeller pitch and efficiency continues to grow. These mid size cats are going to be running speeds that required almost double this amount of horsepower not too long ago. The downside is again going to be safety as this is a much lighter package traveling at the speeds of comparable 8,000# inboards. Everyone is going to have to use their heads...

Dan's seats are in transit to him now (very anxious to see videos as he and Dale start running the boat).

I don't know about the payment books, but whether you have any left or not, I don't see you ever retiring and being able to stay out of your shop- The stuff you do and produce is just part of who you are and its not likely to ever change. Every time you build something cool, it creates interest and demand. You might not do as much but you will still do it...
