Boston Whaler Dauntless 210 - 200hp Verado motor height

New boat. 200hp Verado Enertia 17p prop. anti cavitation plate is 1/4 below the bottom of the hull using a 4' straight edge. I believe it is too deep. The question is how far up to go with the motor. Not looking for the absolute best top speed. Hoping to slightly improve performance and handling. Please jump in.

I set up my 200 Mariner so the cavitation plate is just above the hull bottom on my Grady cuddy. Good handling, performance and fuel usage. Also I tried it one hole higher and had no problems with water pressure but it cavitated too much in a trailing sea. Too bad I don't get to use her lately and she lives in the barn!!! Hope this info helps Gary

Looks like I should go up 1 hole, was hoping that the Enertia prop would allow going up 2 holes. Thanks

billyfish why don't ya try goin up 2 holes.....may work fine on your rig and you could always let it down 1 if it isn't what ya want. If I'm correct your Whaler's hull slightly less hull angle than my rig. Gary
