300XS Water Pump - removing gearcase

Dropping the torquemaster gearcase on my 300XS for the first time and its got a pressure sensing line coming out of the front of the case. How do I disconnect it so I can drop the case to change the pump impeller?

You will see a little black lip on the fitting. Press it down and pull the hose out. Its a small compression fitting for the speedo.

Thank you so much! Anything else I should know when putting it back together? Was planning to just replace the impeller and base gasket since the motor only has 37 hours on it.

nah pretty straight forward if youve done a merc lower before. Turn drive shaft clock wise while pushing down on the water pump housing to seat the impeller. I like to put two allen wrenches in the the opposite corners of the water pump housing to keep the gaskets wear plate and housing in line while I turn the drive shaft and push down on the housing.
