The police have been tight with info on Tommy's murder. I just know he was found at his warehouse. After all the time he spent in prison I wonder where he got the funds to buy a warehouse building?

They weren't too tight when it happened. The lady he hired as a manager told us he was shot in the head, and probably with a silencer. It is a big complex and there were always people around. Some even lived in them. Richie Baiz, my good friend was working for him at the time.

Sounds like it has all the elements for a Hollywood movie. It is a shame, with all the technology we have today, that they don't go back and reopen cases like that and countless others...

"Is" there any? Yes, nowadays there are many hundreds that have been created "the old fashion way, they earned it". Southeast Florida is renowned for its multitude of quality restaurants. Back in the day, there were quite a few that used seed monies to get out of the ground. Sikes happened to have owned a Char Hut restaurant, amoung other things.

Yes, T & S Marine(Tommy & Sharon)on W. State Road 84. You wouldn't believe, of all things, how many hundreds of canoes they sold out of that place. No kidding. He also produced & sold a great 16' Action variation from there. They were called R. A. T. boats. They can be distinquished by they're unique stringer system of the day. They consisted of five 4" high x 1/4'' thick plywood stringers, nothing more. Last I heard Sharon was in Georgia, but that was a long time ago. Don't know what happened to her son Neil Chambers.

As an old Myamuh boy, I am glad those days are behind me---way behind---nearly 65 years ago I bought my first car, a 1950 Ford, from Shorty. (Thomas Dozier Sikes,Sr.)
Can we now get the thread back to 'Wings'???
Jock has some 8mm film and I have tried to pull some stills from it---
PHYC, 1968. The twin Alim 16' belonged to my mentor--Mike Regguinti---called the 'Galloping Guinea'
