Now Parker, there you go again running your mouth about someone's equipment that you have absolutely no knowledge of. So let's clear this up. First, the engine is a 2001, but if you had looked at the photos in the listing, you would have seen the date on the ECM. Second, please tell us, in your infinite knowledge of Mercury engines, how this 300 X is worn out after less than 500 hours from being run on the back of a twin tube pontoon boat that was run on a fresh water lake and river, without a history printout of hours and rpm of operation. Third, please tell us how a 3 liter Sportmaster gearset and carrier are trashed after again being run on a twin tube pontoon boat in fresh water. Why don't you keep your comments to yourself instead of trashing someone's equipment before you have any personal "KNOWLDEGE" of the current condition or history. The engine is in my garage and will stay there until I decide to sell it. Furthermore, I would not sell it to you for ANY amount of money. I would not give you the satisfaction of laying your hands on such a nice piece of equipment. I used to have more respect for you, guess things have changed.
