2.5xs idle issues
I just purchased a 2.5xs a few months back and am having issues with the idle. I can start the motor and idle it up to around 650-700 rpm on my tack and then set the idle adjustment screw on the motor. I put it in neutral and its fine and idles great until you turn the motor off and restart it. Its like it learns the throttle position off the idle adjustment screw. I can do the same thing over and every time it happens until I just can't adjust the screw anymore.
Is there something that I'm just missing or doing wrong? Just got the boat back after a month of having the lower unit rebuilt and would hate to have to put it back in the shop over something simple.

The idle speed should be controlled by the PCM not adjusted. Since you have been adjusting the idle screw for the butterfly it's probably out of spec now.
What are you trying to get for an idle speed? Think the PCM controls the idle speed at about 550.
